Mika was born on July 18, 2010 to Howard's Working APBTs. We picked her up at fourteen weeks of age and it was love at first sight. The little miss picked out Bruce and though we'd gone with the intention of rearing her and socializing her, she never left our house. She reminded us so much of our Luna-Tuna that she earned her name - "Mika". Mika actually means "new moon" in Japanese and since her registered name is a take off from one of Bruce's favorite anime shows, it was only fitting that her name be Japanese.
Mika finished her UKC Championship in conformation in style by the time she was eight months old. We never believed it could happen that fast, but she soon proved us otherwise when she obtained her first Grand Champion leg at ten months old. She's been playing in weight pull, barn hunt and other sports. We can't thank Howard and Beth Burgess enough for blessing us with our little New Moon princess.
